Overland

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

   

Route 40 North

Day 1: From the city of Salta, we will undertake the journey to the northeast, our first stop is the small town of Santa Rosa de Tastil, and we will visit the pre-Columbian ruins. We will continue to the intersection of National Routes 51 and 40, ascending to nearly 5000 meters above sea level. On our descent we will see the northern part of Calchaquí Valley. We will arrive at the town of Cachi and we will spend the night.

Day 2: We will continue south along National Route 40, visiting the towns of Seclantás and Molinos. The Arrows canyon will surprise us with its shapes and colors, and in Cafayate, after the check in at our hotel, we will visit some wineries where we will taste the wines of the area. Night in Cafayate.

Day 3: Going always south , we will visit the Archaeological Site of Quilmes, Santa Maria, San Jose, Hualfin where we will know its old chapel. In the town of London, we will see the ruins of Shincal, from the Inca period. Our next stop we will be in Fiambalá where we can relax in its famous hot springs and stay overnight.

Day 4: We will continue south to the town of Chilecito where will visit the old mining station La Mexicana, after lunch we will cross the famous Miranda slope with spectacular colors to get to Villa Union where we will spend the night.

Day 5: This day will be used to visit the Talampaya and Ischigualasto National Parks where we will be able to see, in the first of them, the wonders of canyon Talampaya, its petroglyphs, original flora and fauna and in the second one, the most colorful geological formations and the discoveries of the most important species of fossilized dinosaurs. Return to Villa Union for the night.

Day 6: From Villa Unión we will continue up to San José de Jáchal where you can visit the old flour mills, some of which, date from the nineteenth century. We will continue towards the towns of Rodeo and then Barreal, to visit the observatory El Leoncito and overnight in the village.

Day 7: On our last day and always to the south, we will arrive at the city of Mendoza going through Villavicencio slope. Overnight in Mendoza.

   

Atacama Argentine

Day 1: From the city of Salta and the old road No. 9 we will go to the city of Jujuy up to the town of Tilcara where we will visit the ruins of Tilcara, ancient pre-Hispanic settlement. After lunch and learning about its central square, we will take a short walk around the famous hill of the 7 colors. Overnight at Purmamarca.

Día 2: At dawn we will leave the town of Purmamarca and we will start crossing the Lipan slope, a mountain road of spectacular beauty that will take us up to 4170 meters of altitude, then descend and enter the famous Salinas Grandes where we will learn about the process of extracting salt. We will continue to the town of Susques and along the National Route 40, we will visit the towns of Huancar, Sey and San Antonio de los Cobres where we overnight

Día 3: Continuing east, we will take up height again through a road called Abra Gallo, after making an offering to Pachamama (Mother Earth) we will visit the villages of Santa Rosa de los Pastos Grandes and Salar de Pocitos, from here the road becomes more and more incredible, full of shapes and colors at sunset we will reach to Tolar Grande for the night.

Day 4: This day will be dedicated to know the surroundings of Tolar Grande and Mina La Casualidad , where we will see a city , now abandoned, located over 4,000 meters high and completely dedicated to the extraction of sulfur. Back to Tolar Grande for the night.

Day 5: We will continue our journey south through El Cono de Arita, geological formation shaped like a pyramid located in the middle of the Salar de Arizaro, at noon we will reach the village of Antofalla, after lunch we will continue the trip up to Antofagasta de la Sierra. Overnight in Antofagasta de la Sierra.

Day 6: On this day we will visit the volcano crater Galán, to reach the edge we will pass by height lagoons, full of flamingos. We will have lunch in the town of El Peñón. We will continue our journey south to the town of Belen where we will overnight.

Day 7: From the city will continue north to the city of Santa Maria del Valle, in Amaicha del Valle we will visit a museum with a spectacular collection of minerals brought from every corner of northwestern Argentina, we continue to Cafayate where we will overnight .

Day 8: Morning free to relax, we will visit the main square and the wineries, taste typical wines from the area. After lunch, we will return to the city of Salta through the valley of Las Conchas River, where we will be amazed at the rock formations. Night in Salta.


   

Calchaqui Valley

Day 1: We start our tour in the city of Salta to the south, up to Obispo slope, located at 3,400 meters above sea level up to Los Cardones National Park and after crossing it, we will head towards the town of Cachi to visit the surroundings and have lunch. We will have a hiking through the town of Cachi Adentro, located at the foot of the massive Nevado de Cachi. Dinner and overnight in Cachi.

Day 2: We will continue to the south of Calchaquí Valley, along the legendary Route 40 to Cafayate, passing by the town of Seclantás. We chose for this journey ,as a variant of the famous Route 40 which will allow us to enjoy the spectacular scenery and to travel along the mountain roads , different to the traditional ones ; such as La Quebrada de la Flechas , with geological formations of spectacular beauty. We will visit the towns of Molino and San Carlos; we will arrive in the city of Cafayate to taste some delicious wines. Overnight in Cafayate.

Day 3: We will have breakfast and then start our way back to Salta through La Quebrada del Rio Las Conchas observing its incredible scenery and rock formations; we will have lunch at the Cabra Corral Dike in the town of Coronel Moldes. We will reach the city of Salta in time to enjoy and visit the city and its museums.
