Mini Adventure in the Calchaqui Valley

Day 1: From the city of Salta we leave to Cachi and on the way we will visit Los Cardones National Park and we will climb the Cuesta del Obispo located at 3,400 meters above sea level. Already in Cachi we will visit the ancient town of colonial style and the Archaeology Museum. After the check in, and lunch, we will go hiking about 3 hours by the foot of Nevado de Cachi. Dinner and overnight in Cachi.

Day 2: We will have breakfast and go towards the south of the city of Cafayate, passing by the Quebrada de Las Flechas (Arrows) ,a geological formation of incomparable beauty. Already in Cafayate, lunch and tour around the city. In the afternoon a 2-hours hiking visiting ancient pre-Hispanic ruins. Dinner and overnight in Cafayate.

Day 3: We will have breakfast and start our way back to Salta through the Quebrada del Rio Las Conchas observing its incredible scenery and rock formations; we will have lunch at the Cabra Corral Dike in the town of Coronel Moldes. We will reach the city of Salta in time to enjoy and explore the city and its museums.

Multi Adventure in the Calchaqui Valley

Day 1: We start our tour in the city of Salta, and from there we head south up to the Cuesta del Obispo, located at 3,400 meters above sea level , up to the Los Cardones National Park and then cross it, we head towards the town of Cachi to visit the town and have lunch. We will have a hiking through the town of Cachi Adentro, located at the foot of the colossal Nevado de Cachi. Return to Cachi where we will spend the night.

Day 2: We continue south along Calchaquí Valley through the legendary Route 40 towards the town of Cafayate, through the town of Seclantás. We choose this route, an alternative of the famous Route 40, which will allow us to enjoy an spectacular scenery and to travel through different and not traditional roads in the mountains. The Quebrada de las Flechas, with geological formations of spectacular beauty, is the site chosen to build a luxury camp for the night near the Calchaquí River.

Day 3: We will have breakfast, pick up camp and continue to Cafayate where we will be staying at the chosen hotel, lunch and afternoon we will have a hiking of about 2 hours. Then, back to Cafayate where we will have dinner and will rest on the active day.

Day 4: We return to the city of Salta passing by the Quebrada, where Las Conchas River runs. There, we will be able to see the amazing geological formations produced by the erosion of time, wind and rain. Lunch at the Cabra Corral Dike where you will also enjoy a kayak ride. Dinner and overnight at the dam.

Day 5: Mid morning we will move to the Juramento River canyon where we will take a rafting descent, we will have lunch and at the end, we will return to the city of Salta.

Forest, Canyon & Valley

Day 1: From the city of San Miguel de Tucuman we go to the beautiful town of Tafi del Valle while we observe the different levels which form the famous Yungas forest or nuboselva (Cloud forest) on the banks of the Los Sosa River . Lunch in Tafi del Valle and visit Los Menhires Park and ancient archaeological ruins belonging to Santa Maria culture , at the end, spend the night in Tafi del Valle.

Day 2: We will go hiking to see the full extension of the flora and fauna of the Yungas, our destination is a waterfall of over 20 meters high where we take a picnic lunch. In the evening we return to our place of residence in Tafi del Valle.

Day 3: We will continue our journey to the Calchaquí Valley and when we reach Quilmes, we will have a hiking to see the archaeological ruins of the place, the last bastion of Calchaquí culture before Spanish invasion. We will have lunch in the town of Cafayate and then visit the famous wineries and taste their wines. We will also visit the city and then ,by the Quebrada del Rio Las Conchas, we will watch the incredible landscapes formed by the erosion of time, we will get to Coronel Moldes to know the water body formed by the Cabra Corral Dike where we will spend the night.

Day 4: During our last day, we will move to the Juramento River canyon where we will have a full day of adventure activities, return to the city of Salta in the evening.
